Happy 4th of July, everyone! I thought we could celebrate the holiday with a little 4th of July fashion. I found 3 cute pieces that show that your outfit for the Fourth does not – repeat, NOT – have to be one of those $5 shirts from Old Navy that proclaims “JULY 4TH 2009″ in bright red letters above the American flag. I have to admit to wearing these shirts – until I turned 10 and realized how ugly they were, but more importantly, I realized how much more fun it is to figure out your own July 4th outfit, without throwing on that tee and a pair of jeans. This dress from Betsey Johnson is the perfect example of showing pride without being literal about it. I love the stripes and the faux belt – it’s actually a part of the knit skirt!

As you might have figured out, I am totally revamping my blog – new name, new content, new header, everything. I imagine everything should be up in the next few days to a week.
